Engagement shoots are still one of my most favorite things to shoot. This past weekend I shot Chris and Jennifer’s engagements and it was fun as it was a new place with some great weather and some amazing sunlight to throw into the mix.
This week we’ve pondered quite a bit about our friend Riley. We had him for 10 years and still remember the early days of a light gray puff ball with blue eyes running about. Riley, really wasn’t like most dogs we’ve owned and interacted with. Similar to most border collies, he did have a love of catching frisbees, giving high fives, and chasing tennis balls. But he was unique in how sensitive he was. In fact, I often called him Mr. Sensitive as the dog literally was all heart and he just wanted to please you. He would take care of my wife when I was gone on business. He would let toddlers pull on his face and in return would just kiss them. He would let Will, at the age of 2 walk him on a leash with no fear of getting pulled over. He would just want to be around us and make sure we were ok. He was in short, our therapy dog. He was also my wife’s best friend and she has spent more time with him than anybody else in the past 10 years. There definitely is an empty space in our hearts as we move forward…
I might just have to have a new series… of Johnny. Sorry Johnny, but I already have a descent collection started and you are the best dressed man at Mobelux:)
These versions didn’t make it up on the website but I still really like how some of them turned out.
